Board President/Program Head in Clinic for Victimized Women
Aronne McCoy became passionate about women’s rights issues after listening to too much Riot Grrrl music in the late 90’s. Inspired by working in her hometown as a volunteer for a Rock n Roll summer camp for girls, which strove to empower girls through music and motivate them to make positive social changes, Aronne embarked on an academic career that focused on international politics, culture, religion, and language. She graduated with a B.A. in Global studies from Middle Tennessee State University and continues to work towards furthering her education. Appalled by the billion dollar industry that is human trafficking, and sadly lacking in superhero powers of any kind, she has made helping victims of trafficking, and all other abuse, her passion project. A cape-less crusader for justice and equality for all, she is Head of the Clinic for Victimized Women and serves on the Board of Directors as President. She also likes bow-ties. Bow-ties are cool.
