Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Survivors:
• Often have difficult and complex cases, in which landlord/tenant issues, protective order issues, and divorce issues may all be intertwined
• Require trauma-informed care and support in their decision making and case management
• Often have been totally financially reliant on an abusive partner and are left without any monetary resources
• Resources in the area exist to assist with filing and obtaining protective orders, but often won’t help with the other related cases.
